Odivo
Car maintenance logbook · v0.16.0 beta · free to use · formerly Garage ShowroomOdivo 0.16.0 beta for Windows 10 and 11. A free, private logbook for your cars. Keep services, repairs, fill-ups and mileage in one place, and get a reminder before something is due. Your data stays on your PC, or in your own OneDrive if you turn on sync.
Odivo is free. If it helps you keep up with your car, you can buy me a coffee ☕
What you need
- 64-bit Windows 10 or 11
- No account. Internet is only used for the optional VIN lookup and recall check
Questions? See the Odivo FAQ.
What Odivo does
Everything about your cars' upkeep in one place, so you always know what's done, what's due and how far you've driven.
Your cars
- A showroom of brand cards: pick a brand to see its cars
- Counts of cars, overdue and due-soon services along the bottom
- A page for each car with its odometer and service gauges
- Eight color themes, and each part of a car's page has its own color
- Fill in a car's details from its VIN, and check for safety recalls (US cars)
Service log
- Log services, repairs, inspections and fill-ups
- See what's overdue or coming up for each car
- A reminders list with everything that needs attention, overdue first
- Search your service history by word or type of service
Reminders and mileage
- Windows pop-up reminders before something is due
- A reminder when it's time to update the mileage
- Mileage history: miles driven each month as bars, plus every reading
Your data
- Everything stays on your PC, or in your own OneDrive if you turn on sync: no account needed
- Back up your garage to one file and restore it on another PC
- Installing a newer version keeps your cars
On your phone
Odivo also runs in your browser at odivoapp.com, on any phone or computer, free during the beta. Turn on sync and your phone and the Windows app share one garage through your own OneDrive. Snap a receipt at the shop and it's on your PC when you get home. On an iPhone, tap Share › Add to Home Screen to open it like an app. How sync works
This is a beta, so back up your garage now and then from the Backup button in the app. Odivo isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any car maker; brand names are only used so you can sort your cars.
Security and privacy
Odivo keeps your garage on your PC. There's no Odivo account and no Odivo server. If you turn on sync, your garage is copied only to your own OneDrive, into a folder only Odivo can use (Apps › Odivo). Otherwise the app only goes online to check for a newer version, and for the optional VIN lookup and recall check. Every installer is code-signed, and its SHA-256 is listed above so you can check the file.

Safer sign-in on Windows
fixed in 0.15.1When you turn on OneDrive sync, the Windows app saves a sign-in key so you don't have to log in every time. From 0.15.1, that key is locked with Windows' own data protection:
- OneDrive sign-in: the saved key only works for your Windows account on your PC, so a copy of the file taken anywhere else is useless. A key saved by an older version is locked the first time the new version opens.
-
Sync and sign-in review
fixed in 0.15.0After OneDrive sync arrived, sync, sign-in and the web app were reviewed for security problems. Two were found and fixed in 0.15.0:
- Attached files: a program or script attached to a car (for example one slipped into a synced or restored garage) is shown in its folder instead of being run when you open it
- Sync: attached-file names from the sync file are only used when they're plain names, so a damaged or tampered file can't point elsewhere in your OneDrive folder
-
Security review
fixed in 0.13.1Before the web version launches, the whole app was reviewed for security problems. Four were found and fixed, and the fixes ship in 0.13.1:
- Spreadsheet exports: text that starts like a formula (for example "=" in a note) now opens in Excel as plain text, so it can't run as a formula
- Backup restore: a tampered backup file can no longer make the app open or delete files outside its own documents folder
- Backup restore: a backup's database can no longer run code of its own while it's being restored
- Update notice: the Download button only ever links to bitsbybm.com or odivoapp.com
The code and its full history were also checked for passwords or keys (none found), and the add-on packages Odivo uses are up to date.
Found a security problem? Please email support@bitsbybm.com with "Security" in the subject instead of posting it publicly. Fixes are listed here once they ship.
Version history
Every public release of Odivo, newest first. Versions before 0.13.0 were called Garage Showroom.
-
Odivo 0.16.0 beta
latest- Put your cars in your own order: on a brand's page, use the ⋮ button on a car to move it first, left or right, or last. The order syncs. Cars you haven't moved are listed oldest first
- The service gauges now agree with each other: red means overdue, amber means due soon (500 miles or 30 days), green means fine
- Odivo opens in one window only. Starting it again brings the open window to the front
-
Odivo 0.15.1 beta
- Security: your OneDrive sign-in is locked to your Windows account and PC (see Security and privacy). Everyone using sync should update.
- On your phone at odivoapp.com, a new + button in the showroom logs a fill-up, a service or your miles in a couple of taps
-
Odivo 0.15.0 beta
- Photos you take on your phone at odivoapp.com (receipts, paperwork) sync to the Windows app with the service or car they belong to
- The showroom opens straight on your car's brand with a short fade, instead of showing another brand first
- Car pages load their details ahead, so they're filled in as soon as they open
- Security: two fixes from a review of sync and sign-in (see Security and privacy)
-
Odivo 0.14.0 beta
- New: optional OneDrive sync. Click the cloud icon in the showroom to keep the Windows app and odivoapp.com in step, on your computer or phone. Your garage goes only to your own OneDrive (see How sync works)
- Restoring a backup now replaces the garage on every synced device, after a warning, instead of being merged
- The showroom's mileage counter is now called "Update miles": it counts cars due for a mileage update
- Security: the OneDrive sign-in is kept in the app's own AppData folder, not in Documents
-
Odivo 0.13.1 beta
- Fixed: with empty brands hidden, changing the theme could leave the showroom's card turned sideways and dim until you showed all brands
- Fixed: after updating, the taskbar could keep showing the old Garage Showroom icon. The installer now has Windows refresh its icons
- Tip: if the taskbar still shows the old icon, unpin it and pin Odivo again
- Security: four fixes from a review of the whole app (see Security and privacy)
-
Odivo 0.13.0 beta
- Garage Showroom is now Odivo. The name blends "odo," the road (as in odometer), with "vivo," Latin for "I live"
- Installing 0.13.0 over Garage Showroom updates it in place: your cars, documents, reminders and backups are kept, and the old shortcuts are swapped for Odivo ones
- The About window tells the story behind the name
-
Garage Showroom 0.12.0 beta
- The showroom opens on the brand of the car you used last and stays there, instead of spinning. A new garage still spins through every brand so you can see them all
- A new eye button on the showroom hides the brands you have no cars for. Click it again to show them all
- A brand's cars now show as cards side by side, with the next service and the odometer on each
-
Garage Showroom 0.11.1 beta
- A mileage service with no record yet, like a 90,000-mile service, now counts down to its next mark on the dashboard instead of showing "Not set". It's marked as an estimate until you log it or enter when it was last done
- When you install over an older version, the installer now says Update
-
Garage Showroom 0.11.0 beta
- VIN lookup: type a car's VIN and click Look up to fill in the year, model, trim, engine and more from NHTSA, the US road safety agency. If your details differ, you can switch to the VIN's or keep yours
- Safety recalls: a new box on each car's page checks NHTSA for recalls on that model
- Search the service history, or show one type of service at a time
- The mouse back button goes back a page, starter schedule Undo is easier to find, and dates show the year
- The app only goes online when you click Look up or Check for recalls, and to see if a new version is out
-
Garage Showroom 0.10.0 beta
- Eight color themes, picked from the new palette button on the showroom: Dark (the original look), Abyss, Ember, Evergreen, Garnet, Neon, Plum and Overlord
- Each part of a car's page has its own color: upcoming services, mileage history, fuel and costs, documents and service history, and the forms match
- The showroom spins more smoothly
-
Garage Showroom 0.9.0 beta
- First public beta: the showroom, a page for each car, the service log, reminders, mileage history, and backup and restore
- Oct 21, 2026: the installer was replaced with a code-signed build of the same version, so the installer and app show Bernardo Moreno as the publisher
